Meet the team

Sarah Probert BVSc MRCVS - Senior Vet
Sarah qualified from Bristol University in 2000 and has lived in Shropshire ever since. In December 2003 she set up on her own, starting Bridgnorth Veterinary Centre. Since opening the practice Sarah has had 2 children Joseph and Concetta who you may see running around the practice!! She takes great interest in preventative care to ensure the well being of your pets and also a particular interest in osteoarthritis and pain management. She has 2 border collies herself, Ned & Fly, and consequently she has a keen interest in canine behaviour!! In her spare time she enjoys practising Yoga and riding her horse Harvey.

John Willdig BVetMed MRCVS - Vet
John qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2012. He started his career as a Vet in a busy practice in Wolverhampton then after 5 years moved to a practice in Telford to be closer to home near Bridgnorth and now he is even closer still! John enjoys all aspects of being a general vet especially getting to know your pets and you! But if there was a particular topic of interest then it would be itchy skin – you might not be able to stop him talking about it! At home, John has numerous pets which keep him busy when he is not at surgery including 2 dogs and 3 cats – Lord Bolton, Myranda and Ghost.

Lynne Jones RVN - Head Nurse
Head Nurse Lynne qualified in 1999 and first started working at a veterinary practice in Worcestershire. She started working at BVC in October 2004. Lynne has 2 dogs, (who you may see behind reception!) 2 cats, 1 rabbit and a tortoise. On the human side of life, Lynne has a husband and two daughters who keep her busy when she isn't keeping the nursing team in check at BVC! She is a member of Bridgnorth Running Club and plays Netball with some of the other girls from BVC.

Jodie Ellis RVN - Senior Nurse and Practice Co-ordinator
Jodie qualified in 2004 and has been at BVC since 2005. As well as nursing, she is responsible for the insurance and accounts side of the practice, as well as running the Pet Health Plan including our offers and marketing. Jodie has two daughters who occupy a lot of her time, although with her spare 5 minutes she enjoys going to the gym, catching up with friends and going on hot holidays!

Kayleigh Smart RVN - Veterinary Nurse
Kayleigh qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2017 and joined the team here in December 2017. Her hobbies include playing squash, and going to the gym regularly to keep fit as well as playing netball with Sarah and Lynne.. She is a supporter of LGBT and attends Pride every year. She is also a talented dog groomer!

Sarah Smith RVN
Sarah qualified in 2004 and initially worked at a mixed practice in Kidderminster.
Following her dreams and interests Sarah moved to work with exotic animals and has since gained her Exotic certificate and is also an advanced practitioner in Veterinary Nursing of Zoo species.
Sarah has a rescue dog called Marni and an African grey parrot called Wesley, as well as two children.

Claire Upton Head Receptionist
Senior Receptionist Claire joined the team in 2005. Since then she has had her two children and rescued a grumpy cat called Albert. Claire has completed her Bronze level Veterinary Receptionist Award, and is working towards her Silver. In her spare time she loves to run, so give her a wave if you see her go by!

Sarah Jarrett Receptionist
Sarah joined the team in January 2016 as a full time receptionist. She previously worked for Bridgnorth Town Council. She has a cat called Molly and is married with a young daughter. In her spare time she enjoys running and keeping fit, she also plays netball with some of the other girls from BVC.

Cassie Summers – Support Staff
Cassie joined BVC in October 2018 as support staff. She helps out with reception duties as well as with inpatient care. She previously worked as a pet stylist for 11 years. She owns two Staffordshire Bull Terriers, a Great Dane, and two cats.
